Meet Actor and Director Audrey Stecher!
She/Her/Hers
Audrey was born and raised in Tampa, FL where she found a passion for theatre when she was eight years old. She attended a performing arts magnet school for theatre, participating in educational and community theatre productions. By the time she left for college, Audrey had worked on over 25 productions in both performance and production crew capacities.
This May, Audrey received her Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in Acting from Nebraska Wesleyan University. Audrey also received the Phi Kappa Phi artist award for her work within the department. Previously, she performed as Nina “The Nina” O’Neil in Airness and wrote and directed Sidekicks at NWU. For her upcoming works, please see the home page with more information.
Some of Audrey's favorite roles include Ermengarde in Hello, Dolly!, Wednesday in The Addams Family, and Rodentia in The Squirrels. She loves playing unique characters and creating individual physical and vocal choices for each production.
Her directing style allows freedom and exploration in the rehearsal room, createing genuine connection between the actors that translates beautifully into performances. From comedic and energetic works such as The Nerd, Quick Exit, and her upcoming film Sidekicks, to the more serious dramas like Lord of the Flies and An Experiment, Audrey loves to do it all.
Beyond theatre, Audrey has a passion for adventure, exploration, and travel. She is always on the lookout for new and exciting opportunities.
